Gardening Tips:How to Protect Your Vegetables against Frost?

With the temperature dropping, we all know the winter is coming. And our beloved flowers and vegetables are confronted with the cold weather. Don't worry. Here is some tips for you.

1. Covering. Before the freezing nightfall coming, we can cover the material such as straw, sun-shade net, plastic film above the vegetables to block the frost. Meanwhile note the cracks around to minimize the heat dissipation. We can add double sun-shade net in the north of the greenhouse to form a windbreak and reduce frost damage.

2. Fertilize and Improve the Temperature of the soil. Add cow manure, pig manure, etc, in vegetables rhizosphere. This can improve the temperature 2~3℃。

3. Row Ridging. Another way to protect your vege is row ridging. Ridging the soil at 7 -- 10 cm deep.
